Preview: Mo Rocca presents an Evening of Insight and Storytelling

As part of the 2024–2026 Common Book program, Tulsa Community College announces that Mo Rocca, the well-known CBS News correspondent, humorist, and television personality, will be a special guest this month.

“A Conversation with Mo Rocca” will be held at the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education at TCC Southeast Campus on April 10 at 7 p.m.

Rocca’s visit to TCC will provide an opportunity to learn from one of the most unique voices in modern media. Admission is free for TCC staff and students and for non-TCC individuals, tickets will be available for sale.

Rocca is recognized for his ability to tell captivating, intelligent stories that combine humor and interesting observations. Rocca has fascinated audiences with his examination of history, culture, and the human experience, whether as a correspondent on “CBS Sunday Morning,” host of “The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation,” or with his entertaining podcast, “Mobituaries.” His work reflects a strong curiosity, which distinguishes him as both a great journalist and a dynamic storyteller.

The theme of the TCC Common Book program for the 2024–2026 academic year is the art of having open-minded, inquisitive conversations in a world that is becoming more and more divided, and this event aligns perfectly with that theme.

Rocca’s reporting and public speaking point at the importance of understanding others’ perspectives, which is emphasized in Mónica Guzmán’s book, “I Never Thought of It That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times.”
