Adrian Carrillo, the newly elected president of the Investment Club and a TCC student majoring in business administration, understands the desire to learn about investing firsthand.
Inspired by his own journey into portfolio management, Carrillo has accomplished the revival of the TCC Investment Club. With guidance from faculty adviser Tony O’Connor, the club, originally established in February 2016 but inactive since the COVID-19 pandemic, is once again offering students of all majors the opportunity to explore the world of finance.

The club’s revitalization on March 4, 2025, saw increased student interest, highlighting a growing appetite among young, ambitious individuals to understand the stock market and acquire essential investment tools. The Investment Club provides a valuable space for students to learn how money works, explore avenues for potential financial growth, and connect with peers who share a passion for finance.
Its core mission is to equip members with fundamental financial skills and knowledge of the stock market and the broader economy, ultimately fostering their future financial well-being and success.

Becoming a member is straightforward: all that’s required is a genuine interest in long-term investing, a desire to make informed financial decisions, and a passion for managing personal finances. Current enrollment as a TCC student is also a prerequisite.
The resurgence of the TCC Investment Club has been greatly inspired by the remarkable success of the University of Tulsa Investment Club. TU’s impressive growth in managing a substantial student-run portfolio currently funds scholarships for finance majors and serves as a compelling example of what can be achieved.
Although in its early stages, the TCC Investment Club, led by Carillo and a dedicated team of elected members, has ambitious goals. They are actively working to build a strong network of interested students and are seeking professionals in the financial field to provide valuable real-world insights.
Fundraising initiatives are also underway to establish the club’s own investment portfolio. The hope is that, with dedication and growth, TCC’s Investment Club could one day become another Tulsa success story.

The revival of the Investment Club marks the beginning of an exciting journey.
