Tulsa’s Circle Cinema, a nonprofit organization with the mission of “fostering community consciousness through film,” announces its participation in Cat Video Fest 2025. The screenings will be shown in theaters across the United States and worldwide, starting in August.
The Cat Video Fest 2025 is a family-friendly event, with screening sessions scheduled for Aug. 2 and Aug 3 at 3 p.m., and Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The film is approximately one hour. The film will be a collection of the latest and best cat videos, featuring animation, music videos, and internet content.
According to Circle Cinema, each year, local theaters across the country collaborate with cat-focused charities, animal welfare associations, and shelters for the Cat Video Fest.
“This year, Circle Cinema is proud to partner with StreetCats, Inc. for the screenings,” said Ryan Thomas, Circle Cinema’s film programmer. “The portion of ticket proceeds from every show goes directly to local cats in need.”
StreetCats, Inc., located at 3105 S. Winston Ave., is a local nonprofit organization founded in 1997.
StreetCats, Inc. made an important statement for the Green Country community on its website https://www.streetcatstulsa.org: “StreetCats, Inc. believes that all cats deserve a home. We wish to reduce the population of unwanted cats by maintaining a spay and neuter program for feral cats and by sheltering cats who no longer have people to care for them.”
The animal shelter is seeking families willing to adopt cats that have been abandoned or lost. Remarkably, StreetCats, Inc. keeps cats until a home is found. The nonprofit organization also runs a spay/neuter voucher program, “A Stitch in Time,” for homeless cats living on the streets.
The StreetCats, Inc. Adoption Center and Boutique is managed completely by volunteers, so the fundraising planned in collaboration with Circle Cinema during the Cat Video Fest 2025 is essential for the organization.
“The StreetCats, Inc. will have a presence at all the screenings of the Cat Video Fest 2025, and its volunteers will be happy to answer the viewers’ questions,” said Thomas.
