ROUTE 66

Legacy of the Mother Road

Route 66 is a storied highway that has captured the imagination of generations. Its lore is expressed through music, films, biographies, poetry, storytelling, and life experiences. The collection of narratives stretches beyond the length of the nearly 2,500-mile road across the U. S. Its famed stature has gained fans from around the world.

In their own words, the staff and contributing writers of the TCC Connection have documented their interpretation of the highs and lows of the road, as its longest route passes through the state of Oklahoma, and where the capital of the route is Tulsa.

We wanted to develop a trail of knowledge that would be navigable for aficionados and amateur learners of the legendary thoroughfare. We hope we did that!
