SNAPS: Women of Color Expo exhibit the contributions of women in the community

KJMM 105.3FM and Perry Broadcasting and Publishing hosted the annul Women of Color Expo at the Osage Casino. The luncheon highlighted the contributions of African American women in the community.
Outside the luncheon are the booths of small businesses lined up in the hallway to showcase their work.
Award recipients, who represented a wide variety of businesses and service, spoke about the dedication and hard work that helped them achieve their career goals. Among the awardees is Jane Malone, executive assistant at Tulsa Development Authority. Malone was named as one of the “100 Women with Moxie” by the Tulsa YWCA in 2014.
Viora Ransom, 2nd Case Manager for Improving Lives Counseling, heard about this organization through a friend and has been with the organization for a year. The improving Lives Counseling was a private practice in January 2007 and later became an agency in July 2010.
