NBC’s “3rd Hour TODAY” co-host to serve as guest of Tulsa Community College Media Day

NBC Today Show and 3rd Hour of TODAY’s cohost Sheinelle Jones will be a guest lecturer during a question and answer session for Tulsa Community College (TCC) and TCC Connection’s Media Day on March 1 at 10 a.m. KJRH anchor/reporter Naomi Keitt will be a co-moderator. For individuals in communications or who have a desire to pursue a career in media are encouraged to attend. The event is sponsored by the TCC Mass Communication Division, the TCC Connection, and the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity. Naomi Keitt, KJRH weekend anchor and reporter, and Sam Levrault, The Connection managing editor, will serve as co-moderators.

In addition to her “3rd Hour TODAY,” responsibilities, Jones hosts several NBC-sponsored programs, including a digital series where she visits with the mothers of celebrities to discuss their journey behind the scenes, and to get their unique take on raising successful children; a monthly wellness show on its streaming platform on Peacock TV; a weekly radio show, “Off the Rails,” on Sirius XM with colleagues Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer; and “Wild Child,” an award-winning weekly educational series, which is a part of NBC’s “The More You Know” family programming. Recently, she led a roundtable for NBC taking an in-depth look at the COVID-19 crisis and its effect on healthcare workers and minority communities.

Serving as a news anchor and reporter, Jones has added a new title as executive producer of “Stories We Tell: The Fertility Secret.” The MSNBC documentary shines a light on five (5) women of color and their journey as they reflect on the psychological and physical pain of infertility. This is her first endeavor as executive producer.

Prior to her appointment in 2014 at NBC News and “3rd Hour TODAY,” Jones worked as a television anchor and reporter for WTXF in Philadelphia, KOKI in Tulsa, and WICS in Springfield, Ill.. In her roles, she covered a variety of breaking news events and human-interest stories. Many of her news topics include interviews with notable politicians, celebrities, and newsmakers.

Naomi Keitt is a weekend anchor/reporter for KJRH in Tulsa. Prior to Tulsa, she served as a producer and weekend anchor/reporter affiliated with WRBL in Columbus, Ga. Keitt holds a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.
